Regular Bottom Gusset Produce Package

Construction:

The bag is folded at the bottom to form a gusset.

Feature Highlight:

This feature allows the bag to stand upright as a way to showcase your produce.

PTO Wicket Lips Produce Package

Construction:

The rear lip handle is extended by an additional 38mm to create a wicket lip. The wicket lip is typically perforated at the bottom above the lip handle to allow for easy tearing. Two wicket holes – roughly 16mm in diameter are cut on the wicket lip. 200 wicket lip produce bags are mounted on a wicket wire through the two wicket holes.

For applications where a wicket wire is not required, the 200 wicket lip produce bags is hot needle heat sealed at 3 points to hold the wicket together.

Feature Highlight:

The wicket lip function of this packaging allows you to pack your produce quickly and more efficiently. The wicket can be mounted on your packaging machine or on your packing table. The bag openings line up on the wicket with the front panel facing toward the packer. The packer simply pulls the front panel of the bag toward them, dropping the produce into the bag while tearing the lip handle away at the wicket.

Patch Handle Produce Package

Construction:

Two pieces of film substrates are heat sealed onto the Inner Front and Inner Rear surfaces of the Lip Handle before Die Cutting. This makes the Lip Handle stronger and more resistant to tearing at the Die-Cut Handle.

Feature Highlight:

This feature makes the Lip Handle stronger and more resistant to tearing at the Die-Cut Handle.

Micro Vent Holes Produce Package

Construction:

Hot micro needles mounted on a steel roller are rolled onto the film substrate to create continuous rows of perforated vent holes. Cold Micro Needles mounted on a steel block are then punched into the film substrate to create a rectangle block of perforated vent holes.

Feature Highlight:

This feature allows the product to breathe without losing too much moisture. This packaging is ideal for vegetable products such as leafy produce, snow peas, shaved carrots, and more.

Die-Cut Handle and Slider Seal Produce Package

Construction:

An injection-moulded slider is mounted on a set of zipper seals, below the lip handle, at the front panel of the pouch. The front and rear panel of the lip handle is then flattened or grid heat-sealed together. A die is then used to cut a handle hole on the bag lip above the zipper seal to create a drip handle.

Compared to our regular zipper seal pouch, whereby the front and rear lip handle panels are not sealed together, this structure makes the lip handle stronger and more resistant to tearing at the die-cut handle. This built-in handle is only suitable for light to medium weights. For heavier pack sizes in the four to six-pound range, we may have to change the design of the due-cut handle, do a fold-over, or make a re-enforced patch handle.

Feature Highlight:

Injection-moulded sliders provide easier grips when opening and closing the zipper seal. This feature is ideal for seniors and children, or anyone who may struggle with finger dexterity.

The built-in grip handle feature allows for easy transportation of the product in the bag. There will be no extra cost if your custom requirement can be met by existing tools in our facility.

Feature Highlight:

Unlike the regular-bottom gusset bag, the 45-degree angle cut on the bottom gusset allows the gusset to open wider. With a wider base, the bag stands upright better. It also allows large fruits like apples to sit squarely at the bottom of the bag.

1/2 Net & 1/2 Poly Produce Package

Diamond Cut Bottom Gusset Produce Package

Construction:

The bag is folded at the bottom to form a gusset. A custom-made die is used to cut a 45-degree angle on both edges of the bottom gusset. The edges are then heat-sealed together. This creates a diamond-shaped bottom when you open up the gusset.

Construction:

A poly netting film substrate is heat-sealed onto a regular film substrate. This combined film substrate is then converted into a bag.

Feature Highlight:

This feature is ideal for produce that requires a lot of ventilation such as onions, citrus fruits, and some varieties of Potatoes. It also gives the packaging more real estate for printing compared to a net bag.

Peach Pouches

Our light weight 2 Lb. peach pouch is made from two-layer 100% recyclable poly film substrates. This film substrate is categorized under recycle logo #5. Our pouch provides excellent film clarity to showcase the fruit inside. We can also tailor-make our pouches to meet your specific requirements. Below are some of the additional product features we can include

Our factory uses rotogravure printing plates instead of polymer printing plates to print all our pouches. The difference can be seen in our print quality. Our printing presses print on 175-line screens, compared to most North American printers, which use polymer plates that print on 125-line screens. This is why our printed bag quality is much sharper, with clearer images and more vibrant colours.
