Stand-up Pouches

Stand-up Pouch becomes popular in most retail stores. The bottom gusset makes it available to stand up for great shelf display and 3D appearance. The flexible shape and light weight substantially reduce the transportation and storage cost, and minimizes the shelf space using. That is why most retail markets are switching to this packaging style: A great replacement for cans, boxes, containers and other rigid packaging. Optional features include press to close zip-lock, front zipper, re-colsable slider, tear notch, laser scored easy tear line, and hang hole.

Applications:

  • Can be used to vacuum seal: dry foods, meat, poultry, seafood, cheese, nuts.
  • Other non food products can also be vacuum sealed such as medical and pharmaceutical items.
Optional Features:
Anti-Fog-Food Pkg
Anti-Fog-Food Pkg

Construction:

A proprietary anti-fog coating is applied onto the film substrate during manufacturing.

Feature Highlight:

This feature causes the fog inside the bag to condense into water droplets when it comes in contact with the anti-fog coating inside the bag. The condensed water droplets then flow down the side of the bag and gives you clear visibility of the contents inside.

This technology was used on the visors of astronauts to give them clear visibility when they are in space. The same technology is now used on our bags.

Die-Cut Handle-Food Pkg
Die-Cut Handle-Food Pkg

Construction:

A die is used to cut a handle hole on the bag lip handle above the zipper seal to create a grip handle. This built-in handle is only suitable for light to medium weights. For heavier packages, we have a few options:

  • Change the shape of the die cut handle to an “eye class design”
  • Make a re-enforced patch handle
  • Mount an ultrasonic heat-sealed injection-moulded handle.

Feature Highlight:

This feature allows for easy transportation of the product in the bag. There is no extra cost if your custom requirements can be met by our existing tools. However, there will be an extra cost for making new dies.

Die-Cut Window-Food Pkg
Die-Cut Window-Food Pkg

Construction:

Die-cut window packaging is used with Kraft paper or rice paper substrates laminated with poly film. An oval die pre-cuts the paper substrate. The cut-out on the paper substrate creates a “see-through window” when laminated with a poly film substrate. The laminated substrate is then converted into a bag.

Feature Highlight:

This feature allows you to showcase the content of your product inside the packaging through the “see-through window.” You can also get a custom-shaped die-cut window, with no extra cost if your desired shape can be found among our existing dies.

Easy Tear Laser Scored Line-Food Pkg
Easy Tear Laser Scored Line-Food Pkg

Construction:

A laser machine is used to punch a precise dotted line on the bag lip to create a controlled straight line tear when the consumer opens the packaging. This feature replaces conventional tear notches.

Feature Highlight:

Unlike conventional tear notches, a laser scored line makes a clean straight line tear. This makes opening the packaging easier without compromising the packaging strength and integrity.

Front Tear-Off Zipper Seal-Food Pkg
Front Tear-Off Zipper Seal-Food Pkg

Construction:

Unlike the regular zipper seal packaging, both the male and female zipper profile for this packaging is mounted on the Front Panel of the bag. The front panel of the poly film substrate is pre-cut at the location where the zipper seal is mounted. A set of zipper seals is then cut to the correct length before it is heat sealed onto the poly film substrate.

Feature Highlight:

The primary advantage of this feature is that it saves you time and cost. The unique feature of this kind of bag closing system is that the zipper seal is located at the front panel of the bag. As such, there is no need for a pre-opening procedure and there will not be a risk of the zipper seal getting in the way during product filling.

Hang Hole-Food Pkg

Construction:

A hole is cut onto the bag lip with a round hole punch or a custom shape tooling device. A standard round hang hole can be 6mm, 8mm, or 10mm in diameter. Differently-shaped hang holes like the Euro H/H can be customised upon request. There will be no extra charge if the factory has the existing tooling.

Feature Highlight:

This feature allows small packages to be hung on wall displays. This gives your products high exposure because most wall displays are located at the end corners of the display shelves. You can even have the same product displayed on shelves as well as on wall displays for extra exposure.

Hot Stamping-Food Pkg

This one-way valve allows air pressure inside the pouch to vent out without allowing outside air to get in.

Round Corner-Food Pkg

The molded plastic spout is ultrasonically heat sealed onto the top opening of the pouch. The spout can also be mounted at an angle on either the right or left top corner of the pouch. The angle of the mount allows consumers to easily pour the packaged contents from within. A die-cut handle or molded handle can also be mounted on the opposite end of the spout. A tamper-proof molded plastic cup is used to cap the spout after the content is manually or machine-filled.

The spout sizes we currently offer are 9.5mm, 16mm, 21mm, and 34mm (interior dimensions). Custom colour caps are also available upon request.
