Back Sealed Bag

Back Sealed Bag, also known as Pillow Bag, is another economical and easy packaging solution. Similar to 3-Side Sealed Bag, they are easily stacked up in one pile to minimize the shelf space using. Sealing at the back allows the image or content to be continuously printed from the front to the rear of the bag. This provides a side view for the package. Consumers are able to view the images on the side while the bags are stacked up. Back Sealed Bag is widely used for packaging bean, rice, powder, and confectionary.

Construction:

A proprietary anti-fog coating is applied onto the film substrate during manufacturing.

Feature Highlight:

This feature causes the fog inside the bag to condense into water droplets when it comes in contact with the anti-fog coating inside the bag. The condensed water droplets then flow down the side of the bag and gives you clear visibility of the contents inside.

This technology was used on the visors of astronauts to give them clear visibility when they are in space. The same technology is now used on our bags.

Construction:

A die is used to cut a handle hole on the bag lip handle above the zipper seal to create a grip handle. This built-in handle is only suitable for light to medium weights. For heavier packages, we have a few options:

  • Change the shape of the die cut handle to an “eye class design”
  • Make a re-enforced patch handle
  • Mount an ultrasonic heat-sealed injection-moulded handle.

Feature Highlight:

This feature allows for easy transportation of the product in the bag. There is no extra cost if your custom requirements can be met by our existing tools. However, there will be an extra cost for making new dies.

Construction:

A hole is cut onto the bag lip with a round hole punch or a custom shape tooling device. A standard round hang hole can be 6mm, 8mm, or 10mm in diameter. Differently-shaped hang holes like the Euro H/H can be customised upon request. There will be no extra charge if the factory has the existing tooling.

Feature Highlight:

This feature allows small packages to be hung on wall displays. This gives your products high exposure because most wall displays are located at the end corners of the display shelves. You can even have the same product displayed on shelves as well as on wall displays for extra exposure.

Construction:

Through our hot stamping process, you can have images of your logo or brand name on our Plain Stock Pouches. The hot stamping method can work with Kraft paper or poly film bag surfaces.

Feature Highlight:

This feature allows you to print your logo or brand name onto your packaging in a small quantity. This is ideal for test marketing your products without a costly investment into larger quantity print operations.

Construction:

Special matte or gloss printing ink used on special print plates are required to create the finishings for these packagings.

Feature Highlight:

This feature enhances the look of your packaging. It has the capability to give your packaging a more organic and premium look. It also helps to differentiate your products from those of your competitions. This feature is normally used to highlight a brand name or product image.

Construction:

Hot micro needles mounted on a steel roller are rolled onto the film substrate to create continuous rows of perforated vent holes. Cold Micro Needles mounted on a steel block are then punched into the film substrate to create a rectangle block of perforated vent holes.

Feature Highlight:

Micro Needle Vent Holes allow for venting while preventing contamination, including moisture. This feature is important for the baking industry for use in bread sleeves, keeping the bread fresh.

In the produce industry, these same Micro Vent Holes on produce pouches help to reduce moisture loss on leafy greens and keep them from drying out too fast in the cooler. This helps extend the shelve life of the produce.

Construction:

An injection-moulded one-way air release valve is manually sonic-sealed onto the back panel of the finished pouch.

Feature Highlight:

This one-way valve allows air pressure inside the pouch to vent out without allowing outside air to get in.

Construction:

The Tear Notch packaging features small triangle cut-outs, normally about 5mm, on both sides of the sealing edges of the pouch. These two tear notches are normally located about 13mm to 15mm above the Zipper/Slider Seal.

Feature Highlight:

This feature allows for easy tearing open of the packaging with your fingers without the need for scissors or knives.

Construction:

A section of tin-tie coated plastic is mounted on the front panel of the bag. The tin-tie is further coated with a layer of adhesive on one side for mounting. The adhesive reinforces the tin-tie for re-closure.

Feature Highlight:

Compared to other bag closures available, this is an economical solution that does not compromise on providing a “high-quality” look. By request, the customer is able to select the colour of the packaging tin-ties. We also offer pre-application and custom-positioning tin-tie services by request.

This feature is commonly used on Side Gusset Pouches and Side Gusset Flat Bottom Stand-Up Pouches.
